Kedar Brown, M.Ed., LPC, CHT has been a licensed counselor for over 22 years. Kedar is the co-founder & a retreat facilitator of Rites Of Passage Council, Inc., a non-profit organization in Asheville, NC. He offers 11 day Vision Quest/Leadership Training programs and weekend retreats for men, women and teens, that are some of the most comprehensive, spiritually and psychologically healing programs in North America. Kedar blends many creative and expressive forms of psychology, with more ancient methods of healing through vision quests ceremonies, sweat lodge ceremonies, and other wilderness rites of passages initiatory experiences. Kedar is a guide trained in the Vision Quest Ceremony by Steven Foster and Meredith Little in the Sierra Nevada Mts. He has served as apprentice with the Men's Council Project in the Rocky Mountains using methods of ceremonial healing, and community building among men. Kedar has also been a guest on Wisdom Radio discussing the need for reintroducing initiatory rites of passage back into to modern culture.
