How much does collaborative law cost?

The members of CollabLaw.org are committed to having this work available to as many people as possible. We have each developed a sliding fee scale that is based upon family income, assets, and complexity of the case.

Generally, most families find that a collaborative divorce costs considerably less than even the least expensive litigated divorce.  In Asheville, our highest flat rates are $6,000 or less for each party when a full team interdisciplinary team approach is chosen and $7,500 for lawyers only. Most are much less. A conventional divorce generally costs considerably more, even if the initial retainer is less.
